The Trainee Program

24 months and lots of opportunities! Discover your future at a growing Clinical Stage Biopharma company. As a Trainee Business and Strategy, you will be a strategic partner of our management team and get a deep insight into the different facets of the company. The position offers a unique opportunity to actively work on developing our R&D hub within the Munich biotech cluster and to work on strategic topics in the areas of business development and alliance management. With our trainee program, you will set the foundation for a promising career in Pharma.
  • In the first 6-9 months, you will support our CSO and Site Head Munich in the strategic development of our R&D site in Hallbergmoos. In doing so, you will get to know the specifics of the biotech industry and contribute to positioning of our new site within the Munich life sciences cluster.
  • Afterwards, you will rotate for about 9-12 months into the Alliance Management department, gaining a deep insight into fostering active partnerships with pharma corporations as well as further developing internal and external collaborative excellence.
  • In your last rotation you will support our business development team, giving you a deep insight into strategic deal making to support a growing biopharma company.
  • During these 2 years, you will furthermore have the opportunity of an extended business trip to our headquarters in Boston.
  • During the program, you will be supported by a trainee mentor, as well as managers and experts from the individual departments. As a trainee, however, you will benefit especially from the close cooperation with our senior management

Our Requirements

  • You have a life sciences background as well as preferably an MBA or M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management. A PhD degree would be beneficial
  • Work experience in the medical/pharmaceutical or scientific industries would be a plus
  • You have demonstrated a well-developed strategic and analytical approach with a track record of integrating and synthesizing findings from multiple sources to enable informed strategic decision-making
  • In this program you will need strong strategic, collaboration and communication skills, as well as an entrepreneurial mindset
  • You have international experience in the course of internships or studies abroad, at the same time, you are flexible to work at different company locations within the program
  • Excellent knowledge of English, good knowledge of German is an advantage
