To strengthen our team, we are looking for an experienced:

Technical Assistant (m/f/d), Bacterial Production USP/DSP

Your Tasks:

  • Planning, performing, evaluation and documentation of experiments 
  • Expression of Anticalin proteins in E. coli and other bacterial hosts (Shake flasks, bioreactor)
  • Protein purification on Äkta FPLC systems and TECAN robot using a variety of chromatography methods
  • Characterization of the Anticalin proteins by HPLC, concentration measurement, gel electrophoresis, endotoxin quantification
  • Support of technology development activities
  • Communication and scientific exchange with project leaders and other teams 

Our Requirements:

  • BTA/CTA/MTA or M.Sc. degree in biological sciences or related life science field
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience within the biopharmaceutical industry
  • Experience in protein expression with focus on prokaryotic systems
  • Hands-on experience with FPLC-based protein purification and various chromatography techniques 
  • Practical experience with bioreactors is desirable, experience in protein characterization and with pipetting robots (TECAN or similar) is a plus
  • Good English communication skills
