Within our Technical Development Department, you will work as integral part of the Analytical Development team with responsibilities and chances to develop in a broad range of analytical fields. To strengthen our team in Hallbergmoos, we are looking for an experienced:

Technical Assistant Analytical Development (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

  • Independent preparation and execution of experimental (lab-based) work
  • Characterization and product quality assessment using chromatographic (SEC, IEX, RP, etc.), electrophoretic (cIEF, CE-SDS, SDS-PAGE), spectrophotometric methods and immunoassays (ELISA)
  • Stability assessment of potential drug candidates in batch and high-throughput format (including thermal stability, colloidal stability and research scale stability and forced degradation studies)
  • Developability assessment of drug candidates using chromatographic methods (Heparin chromatography, SMAC, etc.) and particle quantification techniques (Light obscuration, Flow imaging and light scattering methods)
  • Raw data analysis, interpretation and documentation in electronic form (ELN)
  • Discussion of results within the analytical development team and communication to project teams and external partners
  • Authoring scientific reports, protocols and general guidance documents (e.g. good laboratory practice)
  • Maintenance of analytical equipment (HPLCs, CE instruments, etc.)
  • Training of colleagues and active contribution to the organization within the team

Our Requirements

  • Education as Technical Assistant (BTA, CTA or MTA), or University degree (B.Sc./M.Sc.) in a biological/chemical/medial discipline
  • Considerable hands-on experience with instrumental analytics supporting one or more of the responsibilities and tasks highlighted above (ideally working with proteins)
  • Proficiency with general software packages (MS Office), experience with data evaluation using specialized software (e.g. Chromeleon 7, ImageLab) and statistical tools (e.g. JMP) is a plus
  • Experience in protein expression and purification is advantageous
  • Hands-on experience with Capillary Electrophoresis and/or Mass Spectrometry is a plus
  • Good communication, writing and presentation skills in English and/or German
