To strengthen our team, we are looking for an experienced

(Senior) Scientist (m/f/d), Pharmacokinetics and Bioanalysis

As an enthusiastic and self-motivated scientist, you will be involved in the discovery and preclinical development of highly novel therapeutic proteins, including multispecifics, and take technical responsibility for pharmacokinetic studies and bioanalysis within Pieris’ discovery department. The position requires a PhD or equivalent degree in pharmacology or biological sciences with extensive hands-on experience in the setup and optimization of bioanalytical assays and in the evaluation and interpretation of PK data.

Your Tasks:

  • Planning and evaluation of bioanalytical assays for analysis of PK studies and other studies (qELISA / ECLA, Gyrolab assays and ADA assays)
  • Assay setup and optimization for project specific requirements
  • Design and coordination of PK studies with external CROs
  • Transfer and scientific monitoring of bioanalytical assays at (pre)clinical CROs
  • Preparation and review of scientific reports
  • Technical supervision of 2-4 team members

Our Requirements:

  • PhD or equivalent degree in pharmacology, biological sciences or related scientific area
  • 3+ years of practical experience in the setup of bioassays for analysis of (pre)clinical biological samples by ELISA, ECLA, etc.
  • Experience in the evaluation and interpretation of PK and ADA results
  • Experience with PK analysis software e.g. WinNonlin will be a plus
  • Proven team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (English)
