To strengthen our team, we are looking for an experienced:

Preclinical Biology Lead, Immuno-Oncology (IO) 

As an enthusiastic and self-motivated scientist, you will be involved in the discovery and preclinical development of
novel immune-oncology focused therapeutics. You have excellent communication and coordination skills to work
effectively with other teams in the multidisciplinary matrix and with external partners. You will work in a dynamic drug discovery organization and perform cutting edge science to characterize the mechanism of action of our Anticalin drug candidates aimed at inducing and maintaining anti-tumor immune responses.
 

Your Tasks:

  • Pro-actively consult primary scientific literation, keep current on state of art technologies and emerging concepts in immuno-oncology
  • Develop innovative concepts to promote effective anti-tumor T cell immunity, including initial ideas for patient selection strategies
  • Lead in vitro and in vivo POC and MOA studies for evaluation of novel Anticalins
  • Prioritize and focus on the most important experiments, and change priorities if need be and depending on experimental results
  • Interpret data to develop recommendation for project progression
  • Align and develop biomarker strategy with Biomarker Group delivering PD marker and patient selection hypothesis
  • Align with PK / Toxicology group to deliver safe and therapeutic dose predictions
  • Present results internally and externall

Our Rquirements:

  • PhD in immunology/immuno-oncology, biological sciences or related scientific area
  • Demonstrated track record of independent research and peer-reviewed publications in Immuno - Oncology
  • Practical experience in the fields of cancer immunology including in vitro models and in vivo experience with cancer immunology mouse model systems is a plus
  • Industry experience is a plus
  • Proven team player with strong interpersonal, organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to propose, articulate, evaluate, and defend scientific ideas and data (English)
